Dear Santa 2013

The kids wrote their "Dear Santa" letters all by themselves!  They are so excited to see Santa this weekend.
I love how Kate's dog has such expressional eyebrows.
I also think that Nic has better penmanship than 90% of all the adults I know.
And no, I didn't assist with the writing or drawings, only the spelling (so I hope everything is spelled correctly....)

Ice skating

Our first ice skating adventure was a complete success! We started off on the big ice, then found the kiddy rink. Wow! Nic is a complete natural. I couldn't get him off the ice. Kate had fun but any to happy getting cold when she fell.

Cousin Fun!

We had so much fun yesterday at sea world with Ella and Aunt Christy.

Camping, mommy style

The kids and I are "camping" while David runs the San Antonio marathon.
I think we are having much more fun than he is!

Bubble Bee

OMG! OMG! Nic got to finally meet Bumble Bee!!! He was so excited he kept telling Kate not to touch the Transformer symbol because it would make him transform.
Nic did ask Bumble Bee to tell Optimous Prime he said hello.

Family Pictures 2013

Family pictures were a success!
Between a great photographer (Nana), perfect weather, photo poses research,
and left over Halloween bribe candy for the kids
the outcome is more than what I could have ever hoped for.
Below are just few of the pictures.

Every time I am away from the kids for vacation or work, I always come home to some new talent they have discovered.
Kate surprised me yesterday after school with her ability to do the monkey rings!!!

Iron Man

The Houston Zoo hosted Iron Man and Spiderman last weekend.
Nic fulfilled one of his dreams that day.
The hug is my favorite picture.

Kate loves the bars.
We couldn't get Nic to stop "Skinning the Cat".

I can't wait for them to see them!

Meatless Mondays

So with my very much enjoyed time at home the past week (before I start the new job), I have decided to get the family on a more scheduled menu. Mondays will now be better known as "Meatless Mondays". To kick the week off right, I have made breakfast oat muffin cookies, and OMG they are fantastic!
Now how to hide them from David so they actually last longer than tonight?

Rocking life

Superman, with Batman mask, aviator shaded, and rocking the headphones. Life just doesn't get any better.

Hook and Croc

While getting dinner ready, the kids dressed up and started playing "superman" pirate and the crocodile.
I wish these times could last forever.

Yard Work

Somehow I think when we find our new house, our yard will never be this small again.
Yes everyone, you are looking at our entire yard.
But mark my words, the new house will have a POOL!

First Ballet Shadow Box

I finally made Kate's first ballet recital shadow box.
Her cute little feet will never be this small again.

Lost Pines

We had a fantastic time at Lost Pines Resort.
It was our second time this year and we already can't wait to go back.
The kids loved the balloon swords (until they popped)
 Picnics on the porch!

And we can't forget the S'MORES
The night movie was Snow White.
Kate was so excited that she watched her first movie outside on the grass.
Snow White was even there having s'mores with everyone.
I think my best memory of the entire weekend is when Nicholas started talking in his sleep at 2AM and said,
"No, Snow White don't eat the apple!"
And we can't forget the amazing swimming pools, water slides, and lazy river!
